Method 1: Rename QBprint.qbp file

  1. Open Windows File Manager and click the Organize option from the top left corner.
  2. Select Folder and Search Option and under the View, tab unmark Show Hidden Files, Folders, or Drives option.
  3. Move to the Program Data folder in the C: Drive and open the Intuit Folder.
  4. Double-click the QuickBooks folder and right-click the Qbprint.qbp file.
  5. Select Rename and type Qbprint.old.
  6. Save the file name and check if you are still getting the Unable to Locate PDF Viewer error.

Method 2: Update or reinstall Adobe Acrobat

  1. Uninstall the Adobe Acrobat and reinstall again, with the same CD used for installation can actually help to resolve the issue.
  2. Check if you have the Acrobat installation CD, before.
  3. After reinstalling the acrobat reader, go to ‘QuickBooks software’ and check if you are able to access PDF documents.
  4. If you still have problems accessing the PDF documents, or printing them, then as a last resort, try to find any new updates available for the acrobat reader, and download and install them.

Method 3: Set Adobe as Default PDF viewer

  1. Click the Start button and search for Settings.
  2. Hit the System option-click Default apps.
  3. Select Choose default apps by file type.
  4. From the list, select.PDF and hit Choose a Default.
  5. Now choose Adobe Acrobat Reader.
