Try re-writing the extension.ND and.TLG. These are the extensions that help to configure the files which allow QuickBooks desktop to access all the files of the company in both online and network mode. .ND or.TLG files are responsible for causing multiple errors whenever the user tries to open the QuickBooks desktop. So if you are getting QuickBooks Error 6000 83 you can simply rename them. You won’t lose any data as every-time you open it QuickBooks automatically creates new files. Let’s quickly move on to the steps to perform this in action:

◙ Select the folder in which your company file is located:
     The default location is C:\Users\Public\Public
     Documents\Intuition\QuickBooks\Company Files

◙ Try to locate files that share the same name as your company file but use the extension .ND and .TLG 

◙ Then, right-click and select >ND/ .tlg file and rename it using .old at the last of your name character.

  1. Quickly right-click at the QuickBooks icon on the desktop then press and hold the control key together and select Run as Administrator. Kindly, make sure you hold the control key until you don’t have any company open window. 
  2. Then go to the File menu and from there select Open or Restore Company then open a company file and then press next.
  3. On the lift side of the pane Click on Network, and Locate your company file. ( make sure you have the folder permissions
  4. Open the company file by selecting it.
